Villopoto e Tomac campioni

Con una prova di anticipo sulla fine della stagione, prevista per questo sabato, il campionato ameruicano di motocross ha già i suoi campioni. Ryan Villopoto nella 450 e Eli Tomac in 250.

Lo stato dello Utah porta bene a Villopoto, che in Aprire era diventato campione Supercross a Salt lake City (anche qui con una gara di anticipo sul termine della stagione). Al Miller Motorsport Park, il pilota della kawasaki ha stradominato entrambe le manche e battendo in ambedue le occasioni il campione in carica, Ryan Villopoto.

Al termine delle due gare, Villopoto aveva 50 punti su Dungey, esattamente quanti ne restano in palio. Ma anche se Dungey avesse vinto entrambe le prove dell’ultimo appuntamento e Villopoto concluso con due zeri, il titolo sarebbe andato al pilota Kawasaki per via del maggior numero di vittorie.

In 250, Tomac ha concluso con un doppio successo, mentre il suo princvipale sfidante, il tedesco della KTM Ken Roczen, ha concluso quarto e poi terzo.
