Southern 100 Racing, the organisational committee of the summer road race of the same name that takes place at the Billown Circuit on the Isle of Man, is remaining optimistic with regard to the 2021 edition. Despite the cancellation of the Tourist Trophy, this particular famous race between the houses and dry walls remains scheduled, at least for now.  The latest edition was that of 2019, where Dean Harrison dominated proceedings. That event will also be remembered for Jamie Coward&rsquo;s strong performance and, unfortunately, for Michael Dunlop&rsquo;s serious accident in which he broke his hip.  An ever-changing situation   The situation is not clear and it remains uncertain as to whether the event will in fact take place. A decision will be made in the coming months, with all options on the table, including the possibility to reschedule the event, currently planned for 12 to 15 July, or race behind closed doors.  As well as the Southern 100, a decision regarding other key Isle of Man events, or rather the Classic TT and the Manx Grand Prix, currently scheduled for September, is expected by March.
