The final Italian CIV round, which took place last weekend at Vallelunga, also saw the conclusion of the first edition of the Aprilia RS660 trophy. The permanent entries to the single series were joined by several wildcards, one of whom was Kaleb De Keyrel, 2021 Twins Cup champion in MotoAmerica aboard the very same RS660.  Kaleb&rsquo;s Italian adventure didn&rsquo;t get off to the best start though: &ldquo;When I arrived in Rome, I went out to see the city with my girlfriend but unfortunately my car was broken in to and they took everything, including my racing suit. That wasn&rsquo;t a great start, but once I got to the track, I came across Tommaso Marcon and thankfully he lent me one of his suits for the race&rdquo;.&nbsp;  &ldquo;The Italian tracks are incredible&rdquo;   Once on track, De Keyrel got his smile back, riding for the first time in Italy: &ldquo;The tracks are incredible here, nothing like those in America. They told me that Vallelunga is one of the least popular, but the asphalt is perfect and it&rsquo;s really fun to ride, while in the US the tracks are great but less cared for, uneven and bumpy&rdquo;.  &ldquo;When the MotoGP riders raced at Austin, they complained about the track conditions, but to be honest that&rsquo;s the best track we race at&rdquo;, continues Kaleb. &ldquo;After this weekend in Italy, I understand why many of them had something to say about the asphalt in Texas&rdquo;.  &nbsp;&ldquo;I hope this isn&rsquo;t my last race in Italy&rdquo;   Although the race didn&rsquo;t go to plan, with a crash coming just a few turns after what was a solid start, De Keyrel is pleased with how the weekend went: &ldquo;Fortunately I didn&rsquo;t hurt myself in the crash, but I&rsquo;m sorry to have ended such a fantastic weekend that way. In occasione dell&#39;ultimo round del Campionato Italiano Velocit&agrave;, svoltosi questo fine settimana all&#39;autodromo Piero Taruffi di Vallelunga, si &egrave; conclusa anche la prima stagione del trofeo Aprilia RS660. Oltre ai piloti regolarmente iscritti al monomarca dedicato alla sportiva della Casa di Noale, era per&ograve; presente tra le wild card anche Kaleb De Keyrel, campione 2021 della Twins Cup nel MotoAmerica proprio in sella alla RS660.  La sua avventura in Italia, in realt&agrave;, non &egrave; iniziata nel migliore dei modi: &ldquo;Quando sono arrivato a Roma, sono andato a visitare la citt&agrave; con la mia compagna ma, purtroppo, mi hanno rubato tutto ci&ograve; che avevo nella macchina, compresa la mia tuta da gara. Non &egrave; stato un buon inizio, ma una volta arrivato in circuito per fortuna ho trovato Tommaso Marcon che mi ha prestato una delle sue tute per la gara&rdquo;. Mi hanno detto che Vallelunga &egrave; una delle piste meno gettonate, ma l&#39;asfalto &egrave; perfetto ed &egrave; davvero divertente guidarci sopra, mentre da noi i circuiti sono molto belli, ma meno curati e ricchi di sconnessioni e avvallamenti&rdquo;.  &ldquo;Quando i piloti della MotoGP hanno corso ad Austin si sono lamentati delle condizioni del circuito, ma ad essere sinceri quello &egrave; il migliore su cui gareggiamo&rdquo;, prosegue Kaleb. &ldquo;Dopo questo weekend in Italia, ho capito il motivo per cui molti hanno avuto da ridire sull&#39;asfalto texano&rdquo;.  National Trophy, Vallelunga: Pontone conquista il titolo nella 600  &ldquo;Spero non sia la mia ultima gara in Italia&rdquo;   Nonostante la gara non sia andata nel migliore dei modi, con una caduta avvenuta poche curve dopo un&#39;ottima partenza, De Keyrel si &egrave; detto entusiasta del weekend vissuto: &ldquo;Fortunatamente la caduta non ha avuto conseguenze dal punto di vista fisico, ma mi dispiace aver chiuso cos&igrave; un weekend fantastico. At the penultimate MotoAmerica round, it was Italy who stood out in the Twins Cup category, the Aprilia RS660 proving to be the bike to beat in one of the hardest fought classes in the American series. De Keyrel champion  Race 1, which played out on Saturday, saw Kaleb De Keyrel crowned champion aboard the RS660 of team Robem Engineering, thanks to a second-place finish behind Cory Ventura and ahead of youngster Maxwell Toth, a former CIV colleague. As well as lifting the title trophy one round ahead of time, De Keyrel will also have the chance to compete as a wildcard in the final race of the Aprilia RS660 trophy at Vallelunga, part of the Italian CIV championship, where he will be able to line up against some real Aprilia specialists. Marcon the race 2 winner  The second race was another Italian affair, special guest rider Tommaso Marcon winning with the Aprilia after having also battled for victory in race 1 before ultimately crashing. The Italian, a RS660 test rider, crossed the line ahead of two other Aprilias, ridden by Anthony Mazziotto and Maxwell Toth, both back on the podium during their first weekend in the category. Marcon will also compete in the MotoAmerica season finale, which will take place at Barber Motorsport Park next weekend. Suona l&#39;inno italiano in New Jersey: nel penultimo appuntamento stagionale del MotoAmerica, l&#39;Italia &egrave; stata la grande protagonista nella categoria Twins Cup, dove l&#39;Aprilia RS660 si &egrave; confermata la moto da battere in una delle classi pi&ugrave; combattute del campionato a stelle e strisce.
