At a historic time like this, when it is hard to get out and train with the bike due to restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic, Moto Trainer is here to help, with its simulator.

Dorna Sport and Moto Trainer have signed an agreement that allows riders and MotoGP fans in every corner of the world to train and feel the excitement of a MotoGP while riding their own bike in the simulator.

The Moto Trainer simulator software can reproduce the most famous racetracks, even those on the MotoGP calendar, to allow riders to train at any circuit they choose. Suited to sports bikes of any size, the Moto Trainer simulator can also be connected to the official MotoGP videogame, MotoGP20 by Italian firm Milestone, to experience the world championship bikes and tracks.

By linking the simulator to the MotoGP videogame, riders can experience the action like never before, thanks to movements that are perfectly synchronised with the digital rendering of their riding on screen.

Comments of Andrea Lombardi and Pau Serracanta

In light of this agreement, which brings an Italian simulator producer to MotoGP for the first time, Moto Trainer CEO Andrea Lombardi has this to say: “The Moto Trainer software, developed by our engineers, is able to reproduce any on board video and make it easier for riders when setting up the telemetry, even at very technical tracks. This means it’s possible to upload any track and bike you want, with riders then emulating the video by following the telemetry of reference. The software then analyses rider performance, monitoring acceleration, front and rear brakes, gearing and trajectories. It’s a platform that allows riders to train at any of the world’s tracks at an accessible price”.

Dorna Managing Director, Pau Serracanta, echoes this: “I’m pleased to be able to announce this agreement, thus giving the world’s fans another way to connect and enjoy their favourite sport. In addition, the fact it can also be used with the MotoGP videogame further strengthens the Dorna eSports project that continues to grow”.
