Enea Bastianini has made a very positive start in MotoGP, the 23-year old just missing out on Q2 on Saturday and then scoring a top ten result in Sunday’s race, aboard team Esponsorama’s Ducati Desmosedici.

For this second round at the same track, the current Moto2 champion has clear ideas: “The first weekend was very positive for me, all in all. We’ve understood our weak points and the areas in which we need to focus to improve already this weekend. One of the key aspects will be qualifying, considering I missed out on Q2 for just a fraction of a second. I didn’t make a great start in the race either, but with hindsight I cannot really complain".

"It was exciting to race with the big names”

Enea also hopes for some technical updates during the coming race weekends: “My bike is now a mix of the 2019 and 2020 models, but I think some upgrades may arrive during the season. In any case, I’ll try to make the most of everything Ducati provides”.

"The best thing about my first weekend as a MotoGP rider was sharing the track with all the big names. Riding with them is strange, although I used to race against many of them in the junior classes”, concludes the Italian talent.
