As the free practice sessions making up round two of the world championship at Losail get underway, the Qatari circuit authorities and the Ministry of Health have decided that what occurred last Sunday should not happen again this coming weekend.

So we won’t see the kind of images that angered people so much last weekend, with crowds gathering in the grandstands due to a lack of security controls.

The two governing bodies have therefore done an about turn with respect to their original statement, and will not allow the public entry to the Doha GP, also in light of the strict anti-Covid measures currently in place in the state following a rise in infection levels.
