Valentino Rossi (racing this weekend Jerez) saw his VR46 company take to the track for the first time in 2014, in the minor world championship classes with Sky Racing Team VR46, and now his MotoGP project is starting to come together. His VR46 brand has come to an important agreement with Tanal Entertainment Sport & Media, the holding company of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Saud.
The details
The main sponsor with which the VR46 Team will make its MotoGP debut in 2022 will be Tanal Entertainment Sport & Media with Saudi Aramco and the agreement is for five years, so from next season up to the end of 2026. The team will take the name of ARAMCO Racing Team VR46 and will be supported by other high-level international sponsors. Saudi Aramco is already significant involved in motorsport and F1 and will now debut in MotoGP.
Saudi Vision 2030
The press release also notes: “As well as traditional commercial promotion, which continues thanks to the activities of Team VR46, the communication strategy will aim to promote programmes connected to the important 2030 Saudi Vision project”. This is further clarified with: “In light of Vision 2030, Tanal Entertainment Sport & Media will present new scenarios for the future in Saudi Arabia, starting with sports and entertainment infrastructure for the general public, and also large-scale urban projects that will focus on sustainability and the green vocation that characterises the KSA New Cities brand”.
