MotoGP, Valentino Rossi sums things up: “We want more”

Valentino Rossi has scored a best result of tenth place in the first nine races of the 2021 season, the Italian placing nineteenth in the general standings with just 17 points. The Italian has had some tough times aboard the Petronas Yamaha M1 and admits: “The first half of our season hasn’t been fantastic”.

His analysis

In a video shared on the Petronas team’s Instagram profile, the 42-year old continues by saying: “We’ve struggled a bit. We know it’s difficult because the level of the riders and all the MotoGP bikes is very high”. His rivals are particularly strong, but the nine-time champion is not giving up: “We know we need to fight hard, but we want more, we expect more. We hope to obtain good results and work hard during the second part of the season”. To round out the 2021 season in the best possible way. After a five-week summer break, during which he visited Croatia with friends and girlfriend Francesca Sofia Novello, Rossi is ready to return to the track and will be in Austria next week ahead of the tenth GP, during which he’ll do his best to turn his season around.
