AmericasGP: Marquez beats Jett Lawrence and there’s already talk of a rematch

The atmosphere at Austin is already electric, factory Honda rider Marc Marquez and AMA Pro Motocross 250 MX champion Jett Lawrence having battled it out on track ahead of the main event, or rather the AmericasGP. The Spaniard agreed to take on the young American, ten years his junior, aboard the small NSF100, and can now add this victory to his tally of six wins on American soil.

The expert won out over the youngster, who wrote on social media: “Epic first day here in Austin. Finally catching up and getting to ride with my mate Marc. Just watch those insides lines this weekend mate. See you on Sunday I gotta pay my debt after the lost bet”.

And Marquez responded in kind on social media, sharing images of the enjoyable battle: “Really nice to meet you Jett! Funny time today! But what were you looking for on the track? Sorry guy, next time revenge in MX!”
