Italian GP, Aprilia renews with Espargaró and Viñales for another two years

The Noale manufacturer will again put their trust in Catalonian duo Aleix and Maverick in 2023 and 2024: "Continuity equals performance"

The news was already in the air and so comes as no surprise as it is confirmed - the Aprilia Racing team and Aleix Espargaró will continue to collaborate throughout the 2023 and 2024 MotoGP seasons.

In addition to the number 41 Catalan rider, another Catalonian in the shape of Maverick Viñales will also remain aboard the RS-GP, having come to the team in the summer of 2021. The former Moto3 champ has also secured a two-year contract, just like Espargaró. The Noale squad thus sticks with what it knows.

Aprilia in MotoGP: stability means performance

Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola explains it well: "Stability means performance". Basically, when the family is united, it takes continuous steps forward. And Technical Director Romano Albesiano is in agreement: "We’ll be able to guarantee development along well-defined paths, that will undoubtedly result in growth".

And what do the two riders think? They’re very happy of course: "I’m pleased as I’ve finally got what I wanted and dreamed of", comments Aleix. "I’m happy for me and for Aprilia, I want to prove that I deserve the trust that has been put in me once more after so many years together."

And Maverick? "I am comfortable here, it’s like a family”, he says, “Everyone’s so kind and confirming our collaboration will give my career a real boost. The goal? Podiums and race wins, we’ll work hard to get there soon".
