MotoGP, a Kazakhstan round as of 2023: the agreement is for five years

Another Asian round is added to those already on the calendar. Although the 2023 calendar is yet to be released, Dorna has now announced that the championship will visit Kazakhstan as of next year. This is thanks to a five-year agreement that sees MotoGP land in yet another new country, or more specifically at the Sokol International Racetrack.

The world championship extends its reach

A brand-new facility in the heart of Central Asia, the circuit is located just outside the country’s largest city, Almaty. Kazakhstan is set to become the thirtieth country to host a world championship round since 1949. And the Sokol International Racetrack will be the 74th circuit to host a reigning class race. Something totally new for everyone, not least the riders who will get to experience another interesting new track.
