WorldSBK: Razgatlioglun in isolation as he awaits a negative test result

Having missed last Thursday’s test after testing positive for Covid-19, despite being asymptomatic, Toprak Razgatlioglu has remained in Barcelona in isolation. Tested at the same time as Toprak, the other Yamaha team members tested negative and were able to head to the track as planned.

The good news for Toprak is that he will have another molecular test on Saturday in the hope of a negative result, which would allow him to travel to Aragón and attend next week’s test.

Still in Barcelona, Toprak had this to say: “I feel good with no symptoms at all. I want to thank everyone for their kind messages, as well as the team and Handan Kilinc for making sure I’m as comfortable as possible. Obviously it’s quite boring here, but I’m very grateful to have a nice place to stay, while I wait for a negative test result. I hope I get a chance to join the team for the first Aragón test, but we will see what the situation is”.
