Dream or reality? It might only be for a day, but it’s all real. On Friday 24 September, Kenan Sofuoglu will be back on track at Jerez, riding the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Ninja ZX-6R during the two Supersport practice sessions. The five-time world champion in this category has agreed to make a return to celebrate the change that Supersport will undergo in 2022 and to see out the era in which he starred and put on such an incredible show.

Welcome back!

The 37-year old is the most successful rider in the history of the Supersport 600, having amassed five titles, 43 race wins, 85 points and 34 pole positions.  He has written unforgettable pages in the history book of a class that will undergo significant change next year. The last time the Turkish rider competed in a race was in 2018, in the same Kawasaki Puccetti Racing colours that he'll be wearing on track tomorrow. “We are very pleased and emotional at the thought of seeing Kenan back on track with one of our bikes, even if it’s only for a day”, commented team principal Manuel Puccetti, who went on to add, “I believe that Sofuoglu is the ideal ambassador to mark the change that the Supersport category will undergo next year, a class in which he has won so much and become the very symbol of Supersport”.
