Next season’s key dates have been revealed. The championship will open at Aragón and travel to Misano for round four, while Imola is left out for the second year in a row. Australia returns
WorldSBK is beginning to take shape. Following various rumours over the last few days, the provisional 2022 calendar has now been published, as Toprak Razgatlioglu prepares to defend his first world title from an attack by Jonathan Rea among others.
The 2022 calendar is largely a repeat of this season’s schedule. For the second year running, the championship will get underway at Aragón (during April), while Assen is the second event, also set to run in April.
The only Italian round will be staged at Misano, with Imola again missing from the calendar, just as it was this season. Phillip Island looks set to make a very welcome return, although no date is yet confirmed, while the grand finale will again play out at Mandalika, a track that all the SBK riders enjoyed this year.
