Just a few days after confirming that Maximilian Kofler will be the squad’s second rider, the CM Racing team has had to announce a huge change to its 2022 plans. The Austrian will no longer be flanked by Randy Krummenacher, who has decided to leave the Italian team despite having already renewed his contract for next season.

The Swiss rider’s decision, which comes out of the blue, has shocked the team headed up by Alessio Cavaliere, which will now have to reorganise its line-up ahead of next season, when its riders will compete with new Ducati Panigale V2 bikes.

Cavaliere: "I respect Randy’s decision"

Commenting on Randy’s unexpected move, Alessio Cavaliere comments: "As the team principal of the CM Racing Team, I respect the decision Krummenacher has made and nevertheless wish him all the best for his future career.”
