SBK, let the unveiling begin: 2022 team presentations

Honda paved the way and now the month of March will see many teams unveil their liveries for the new racing season, from Go Eleven in Cherasco to Kawasaki in Barcelona

The months pass by and the countdown to the first race of 2022 continues, but before the track action come the team presentations in which we get a first look at the bikes’ new graphics.

Some have already unveiled their new colours, Honda for example, on 12 February, but most of the SBK presentations are still ahead of us, with March looking to be a busy month. Kicking things off is team Go Eleven, the new home of Philipp Oettl, who will be able to show off the colours of his Panigale V4 R on Sunday 13 March in Cherasco, the team’s home town.

Doubling up

Two days later and it will be the turn of both the Aruba and Barni teams, which will unveil their respective Ducatis on Tuesday 15 March. Stefano Cecconi’s team will do so virtually, while Marco Barnabò’s squad will use Michele Pirro’s “Garage 51” store as a backdrop, inside the Misano World Circuit complex.

23 March will see team KRT present Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes’ bikes at Montmelò, Barcelona, just prior to a two-day test that will get underway on 25 March. Both the GRT and Yamaha with Brixx teams will unveil their livery during said test, as world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu prepares to run with the number one plate this season.

BMW has no presentation lined up. The factory team (SMR) will only unveil its colours on Thursday 7 April, or rather the day before the first race weekend, with a video and simultaneous press meet. A presentation has also been scheduled for Supersport (in addition to the aforementioned Aruba team), with team Evan Bros. set to uncover its Yamahas on Saturday 12 March in Faenza.

Presentation dates

Evan Bros. - 12 March

Go Eleven - 13 March

Barni - 15 March

Aruba.it Racing - 15 March

Kawasaki Racing Team - 23 March

Pata Yamaha with Brixx - 25 March
